Celebrate German Heritage at AustOberfest

October 21, 2016 | greystar

Raise your glass! On Saturday, October 22nd, AustOberfest, or Austin Oktoberfest, returns to celebrate Texas’ German Heritage with lots of authentic beer, bratwurst, live music, and more. Tickets, which are required for entry, include unlimited German-style sausages and sides, a commemorative glass, five beer tastings, live entertainment, and bowling. The festival is happening at Scholz Garden, Texas’ oldest continuously operating pub. Scholz’s has long been a hub for German festivities in Austin, and there truly isn’t a better place to have an Oktoberfest in Austin.

Conveniently for residents of Lakewood, the bar is less than fifteen miles from the residences. Those who want to drink beer at this event must be 21 or older, and children ages 13 and under do not require a ticket.
